Creating a wooden wall art brand

Wall Art and the Home Decor product category for the print on-demand industry is huge! Everyone has an offering from fine art prints, posters and canvas. Its hard to differentiate as a print on-demand business.

Considering this, it’s best to dive deep and understand how you can add increased value and solve the customers problem. With Wall Art I feel like some of the key problems are, too much choice with multiple materials and formats. Its mentally exhausting. Also, there is not enough guidance on wall arrangements and showing pre-determined layout selections that make it easy to match with your wall size and objectives.

That being said, I created a demonstration brand called GROVE SQUARE to give you some inspiration on using our amazing print on-demand Wood prints with your current brand or an idea for a new start-up!

Starting a brand is hard but if you focus on the essential and remove everything else, you're off to a great start.

The thought process with crafting this new brand GROVE SQUARE was to keep it simple to start, zero complexity. Drill down into a target customer group. Here I focused on sustainable and sqaure format. Also personalization. I created a brand name that feels like a place to meet and THE place to get wood prints (A city sqaure) but also resonates with my product focus, squares. I decided it was a good idea to sell multiples and wall arrangements as selling single prints is hard and does not add value, especially when you want to print a range of pictures.

All in all it's a simple start that gives you the platform for growth. Starting simple then refining or modifying on the fly becomes much easier with a simple foundation. Never try to get it perfect from the start. In addition, always add a happy, 'give back' piece to the brand. Here we are planting 1 tree with every purchase with ONE TREE PLANTED which aligns with this brand's values.

Does your print on-demand business tap into a niche and have a clear concise and simple vision?

Keep creating,

Cheers, Henry @ WOYC OD
