OUR SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
OUR SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENT
The Binding Thread.
Sustainable Innovation is the binding thread of our entire business. In our pursuit of innovation, we also care deeply about any impact this may have on our planet and people. We believe it is a social responsibility we must commit to when running a business today. Sustainability is a shared value with our customers and a key factor in our selection process when choosing materials for our products and packaging.
Always Improving.
Being environmentally responsible is a long-term commitment and a process of daily improvement. Each day we have an opportunity to make decisions that compound the progress to our goal over time. Sustainability is ingrained throughout our businesses, our systems and our product development strategies. We are making consistent progress in reducing our carbon footprint and improving manufacturing processes to find ways of working efficiently without harming the environment.
Next Steps.
Let’s do this! By January 2025 we will recycle rejected and returned products at our facilities in the USA and UK. In addition the transfer film that is used to transfer ink to POD products will be recycled. This is 98% of our waste. We will also start to integrate an insert and/or print on all packaging to indicate to the end consumer that the case is recyclable by sending back to our facility to be recycled or up-cycled. This will reduce instances where consumers simply throw the product in the waste, subsequently going to the landfill.
In 2025 will also be joining 1% for the planet where we donate 1% of revenue to support the global environment.
Take a look at our sustainable steps and initiatives below.
-
Ensure our raw materials are ethically, locally sourced and recycled, upcycled, biodegradable or circular where possible. (Removing waste from land fills.)
-
Use local, in-country crafters where possible for our CRAFTED range of products.
Ensure our product design considers material usage/wastage, re-usability, modularity and utility. We always promise to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements, whilst meeting National and International Regulatory requirements. All products are certified by Intertek.
Into 2023 we extend our Biodegradable and Circular Material line-ups and start to transition from fossil fuel derived plastics to sustainable solutions.
-
Implement manufacturing and distribution processes and that have the smallest possible impact on the planet and people.
In 2023 we start to transition to in-country manufacturing, using local in-country business and being able to deliver as close to your customers as possible.
-
To reduce the impact of shipping products around the world, over 10 years ago, we implemented a plan to deliver customers orders anywhere in the world by producing locally and shipping using local services, in-turn reducing our carbon footprint.
-
We take our social responsibility very seriously. Our aim is to be Carbon Neutral by 2027.
People are at the heart of our business and community and we’re increasingly aware that our actions must benefit the whole of society.
There must be a balance between economic growth and the welfare of society and the environment.
