Our sustainable print on demand journey

Sustainability is a journey not a destination. Our plans are not simple to achieve but we take steps each day to get a little closer. What are our sustainability print on demand goals?

  • Design - We are working with designers in Italy through our business there to review how we design products, getting closer to better, more distinct design with more thought surrounding how we design with minimal impact on the environment.

  • Packaging - We are working on a molded paper pulp solution for packaging that is biodegradable. All customers that would like to offer this will be able to! This will be available May 1st 2023.

  • Machine energy efficiency - We design and manufacture our sublimation machines, getting to control the energy efficiency and speed. We reduced our cycles times by 30% and will be implementing these systems across our facilities during 2023.

  • Raw Materials - We are transitioning to better materials. Having started with some bio-polymers, we are working towards using recycled and circular materials for products, aiming to create a complete line-up of products by the end of 2023 that is better for planet and people.

  • Production locations - We are spread out across the globe. Our manufacturing supply-chain mainly resides with our subsidiary in S.Korea where we design and manufacture. We are working towards transitioning some design and manufacturing to a more central location to our core business to save shipping and emissions and also work with some local suppliers in country to help local business.

What’s our big goal. Really two key values. Quality and Sustainability. We will always be a premium print on demand provider but you’ll always have the confidence that your customers will love our remarkable products and that they are fit for purpose. Products with a purpose also matter. Our aim is to support local business and communities along the way!

What can we do better?

Cheers,

Henry @ WOYC OD
